Meanwhile, Matthew Flores, 35 — a fugitive who had been wanted in a January murder case — was captured in North Carolina following a police pursuit Feb. 3 in Levin's red Kia Stinger, the Associated Press reported.

Levin, a 74-year-old ride service driver and Philly area native, was last heard from on Monday, Jan. 30 while driving fares around the Palm Beach Gardens area, his daughter Linsday DiBetta has said in a public Facebook post

Levin's phone was shut off, which loved ones said was unusual for him. DiBetta asked neighbors to keep an eye out for his red Kia Stinger.

A few days later, she gave an update explaining that her father's car had been spotted near Okeechobee, some two hours north of Miami, with no sign of the missing 74-year-old himself.

On Saturday, an Okeechobee Sheriff's Office said human remains had been found in a wooded area off a highway not far from where Levin was last known to be, per NBC Philadelphia. The remains have not been officially identified.

DiBetta thanked area residents for their support in a Facebook post after police located the remains.

According to NBC Philadelphia, Levin grew up in Northeast Philly's Mayfair neighborhood on McKinley Street. He raised his family in Richboro, Bucks County, and only moved to Florida in retirement, the outlet reports.

The case remains under investigation.
